CVMPS Scholarships

Information for graduating seniors in 2025, who are interested in applying for MPS Scholarships :

Your family must be a member of MPS by joining before the end of the first semester of your senior year. This year it is December 20, 2024.
There  are two kinds of scholarships. General MPS scholarships and the Robert L. Shedd Music Majors Stipend Award. For either type of scholarship, you  must apply and submit your application before March 25, 2025.  The Music Stipend Award will be given to one of the seniors that has  applied for the general MPS Scholarship and is entering college in the  fall as a music major. Please read carefully and follow the criteria  below.

Please  note that funds are not issued for the Music Major Stipend Award  recipient until proof of college enrollment as a music major is received  in the fall. Please refer to the acknowledgement and award letter. It  is imperative that all students read carefully the prerequisites and  requirements for these scholarships and awards and make sure they are  fulfilled and that they meet all application deadlines.
The  Robert L. Shedd Music Majors Stipend Award is a $1,000 stipend given to  a recipient of an MPS scholarship who enrolls at a four-year college,  university, or school of music as a music major prior to October 31st in  the year the MPS scholarship is awarded,  Proof of enrollment and  registration as a music major must be submitted before the October 31st  deadline in order to receive the $1,000.

The following recipient of a CVMPS Scholarship has indicated an intent to pursue a major in Music Therapy and is therefore eligible to receive the Robert L. Shedd Music Majors Stipend Award of $1,000.  The recipient will be informed of the necessary requirements that must be met to receive the funds.
