Scholarship Information
CVMPS Senior Scholarships
There are two types of scholarships available:
- General MPS Scholarship – A total budget of up to $3,000 will be awarded, with up to six recipients receiving $500 each.
- The Music Majors Stipend Award - A $1,000 stipend granted to a senior who has applied for the general MPS Scholarship and plans to pursue a music major in college. To qualify, the recipient must enroll in a four-year college, university, or school of music as a music major by October 31st of the same year the MPS scholarship is awarded. Proof of enrollment and registration as a music major must be submitted before the October 31st deadline to receive the stipend.

MPS Scholarship Application Guidelines
MPS CVHS Senior Scholarship Criteria:
- A total of $3,000 will be distributed among up to six recipients, with each receiving $500.
- Students must be actively participating in the music program to qualify for a music scholarship.
- Families must be members of MPS by the end of the first semester of the student’s senior year. The membership deadline for this year is December 20, 2024.
- Applications must be submitted online no later than March 25th of the academic year.
- Each application must include:
a. A completed CVHS Senior Music Scholarship Application Form.
b. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. A recent transcript, including grades from the fall semester of the senior year, must be attached. - Each music teacher will complete a rating form for their respective scholarship applicants, scoring them on a scale of 1 (low) to 5 (high).
- Applicants will be evaluated in comparison to the overall pool of candidates.
- Award Presentation: Scholarship recipients will be announced during Senior Awards Night.

The following recipient of a CVMPS Scholarship has indicated an intent to pursue a major in Music Therapy and is therefore eligible to receive the Music Majors Stipend Award of $1,000. The recipient will be informed of the necessary requirements that must be met to receive the funds.
